Hazard Creek is the access to a picturesque shoreline in the Northern part of Montana de Oro State Park in California. The shoreline displays inclined beds of the Miocene age Monterey formation which is marine in origin. The differentially eroded edges of the formation are decorated with small pools of water, all sizes of rounded fragments from sand to boulder size as well as seaweed and some sea shells. As a result there are many textures and colors which make for an enjoyable photographic experience.
